Senior Pastor, Bruce Droogsma
I grew up in Baxter, MN, and came to faith at a young age. I spent a lot of time working at Camp Shamineau and volunteering at church during high school and College. It was while volunteering in Youth Ministry that I met my wife, Mary (Merv), and we were married in 2006. We have four kids and currently reside in Delano, MN. I graduated from Crown with a degree in Youth Ministry in 2005 and got my MA in Theological Studies from Bethel Seminary in 2013. I am ordained with the EFCA.
Youth Pastor, Noah Borwege
I grew up in Carver, MN, and my faith started at a young age, but Jesus really took hold of my life later in High School and into College. I attended Concordia University in Saint Paul to play baseball. After my Freshman year, I was called into ministry, and I transferred to Bethel University in Indiana, where I graduated in 2023 with a degree in Christian Ministry. I have been blessed to play 5 years of Collegiate Baseball, battling through injuries and finding my identity in Jesus Christ. I am currently working on my MA in Biblical Studies and MA in the Old Testament. I find immense joy in discipling the next generation to become more like Jesus. I also enjoy watching sports, working out, reading, being outside, and pottery.
Administrative Assistant, Alicia Holmstrom
I have been married to my husband, Hugh, since 2005. We have 3 amazing children. I am a graduate of W-M High School, where WEFC has been my home church, and went on to get my BA in Social Work from Bethel University in 2001. I started as an Administrative Assistant for the church in 2021. My husband and I love being involved in various activities and ministries, and can also be found at many of the school activities, cheering our children on in school, sports, and life. God has given me a heart for people, which is what drives me on a daily basis.
Children’s Ministry Directory, Bethany Loether
Happily married to Jesse since 2011, and together we are blessed with two wonderful daughters. As a Scholar Student-Athlete graduate of the University of Minnesota, I spent my early career as a self-employed business professional before God led me to Watertown in 2013 with a new calling. Although raised with faith, I fully surrendered my life to Christ at the age of 22. This pivotal moment cultivated a profound heart for the next generation. Since then, I have dedicated my time to coaching high school softball, homeschooling my children, and passionately serving in our Children’s Ministry. I began leading within our Children’s Ministry in 2018, stepping into the role of Director on the WEFC staff in 2021.
Communication Specialist, Cher Lorentz
I am a Minnesota native and have been married to my wonderful husband, Mike, for 49 years. I am a graduate of Southwest State University with a BA in Communications. I have served in varied roles in ministry for most of my career. My favorite roles are being a wife, mom, and grandma. We have three married children and twelve grandchildren, and I enjoy and adore them all. My greatest passion is to share the life-transforming story of how Jesus redeemed and healed me for His glory and purpose.
